Mommy is very good at keeping up with Sofia’s feeding schedule. This is, in part, due to the new shiny watch Daddy gave Mommy for her birthday. Mommy never takes the watch off – ever. She must REALLY like it! 🙂
Daddy is hoping he will get a new watch soon too… 😉 A nice watch to mark his daughter’s birth year. A very nice watch that will hopefluly last for many many years.
One of the most amazing things about having a new baby is how every day, sometimes every hour, there is something new fun and amazing to discover. For example, her tiny little cute hand… I’ve been meaning to take a picture of it for a while. I will take another, hopefuly much better picture soon, but for now check out the one I took with my phone.
Today is Sofia’s First Thanksgiving! This is a great opportunity to thank God for all his blessings and especially for gifting us with a beautiful and healthy baby girl.
We also want use this opportunity to thank our families and friends for all their help and support!

Sofia and Mommy are doing a little dance on the Charlie Brown theme song… Well it is actually a very jazzy eclectic cover of the song. Both Mommy and Sofia have very eclectic music tastes. Sofia really seems to like Gospel music for example. Go figure.
Sofia has a couple ‘toys’ that she really likes. One is a purple loopy circle thingy which contains some moving marbles (see picture) – the other is a toy that both Mommy and Daddy really like. The iPhone! Go figure. A few more months and she’ll probably demand her own.
Today, for the first time ever, Sofia and Daddy were home alone, while Mommy went to do some last minute Thanksgiving shopping. Both Sofia and Daddy had a blast!
Today was Sofia’s 5 week birthday!
We celebrated by hanging out in mommy’s bed, eating, watching ‘Tom & Jerry’, changing diapers, burping and listening to gospel music (Sofia’s favorite …. Mommy’s too 🙂 ).

So I was trying to find a way of having Sofia look at the world from a semi-elevated position as opposed to laying down all the time. Here’s what I came up with …. Needless to say, it did not stick 🙂
Since I’m really bad at writing, in general, posting on the blog will be a challenge. But it will be worth it 20 years down the line for my baby to have this to look back on …. So here’s to you honey …. Enjoy!!! Love, mommy.
