The sun hat
Since it’s finally nice outside, mommy started giving Sofia her sun hat to wear, so she won’t get a sunburn. The hat’s still a little big, but before long, the baby’ll grow into it 🙂
Another princess outfit
One of these last Sundays Sofia tried on yet another one of the really cute dresses that she has. I don’t remember if it is a dress that Mom bought her or if it is a gift from one of Sofia’s fans. One things that is sure however is that she looked as addorable as ever in it. Check it out:
Custom highchair
Grandpa Ungur built Sofia a custom highchair from scratch. Grandpa is very proud of his handywork.

Sofia’s first icecream
Yesterday, Sofia and daddy had a “first”. Daddy had his first custard icecream cone of the year, while Sofia had her very first icecream ever! She actually only had a little bit, but I think she really enjoyed it. Check out the pics below for a little glimpse at what happened.
The highchair
Mommy, daddy and Sofia went on a little trip to Frankenmuth last weekend. As usual, mommy and daddy had lunch at the Bavarian Inn, but this was Sofia’s first time experiencing the ‘German culture’! One of the most exciting things was using – for the first time, the restaurant’s highchair. Here’s Sofia, all smiles, enjoying her time at the adult table.
Sofia’s En Vogue Hair Style
Some of the most fabulous hair styles that Sofia ever sported, were fashioned at The Gale Estates, East Wing – during bath time. As you can see, not only is Sofia way into bathing but she really knows how to strike a pose, or two. Enjoy these pics before The Cosmopolitan calls us to buy the rights to these gems.
Out and About
Because the weather was so nice, mommy and grandpa Ungur decided to take Sofia out for a walk. She was kinda confused being out without her car seat so she was holding on to grandpa really tight. Plus, she didn’t know what to make of all the sunshine, so mommy promised her she’ll buy her a pair of baby sunglasses for our next outing 🙂
Favorite toy of the month
Sofia’s favorite toy at the moment is her play mat. It has a southwestern, cowboyish theme, with a horsey, a cow, a cowboy rooster and a pretty star, as well as a cute little mirror above.
She spends hours looking and cooing at the toys but mostly at her own reflection in the mirror. Mommy is very happy Sofia likes this play mat because she gets to catch up on house chores while the baby enjoys herself on her own … Let’s hope this phase lasts until the baby is ready to sit on her own.
Sofia’s Dedication
It seems like daddy will never get around to posting about Sofia’s dedication service (which was 2 weeks ago!!!), so mommy will have to pick up the slack 🙂
On December 14th, 2008, mommy and daddy took baby Sofia to church to be dedicated. Sofia wore a beautiful cream colored dress, with a matching cardigan sweater and matching shoes. Of course, the shoes were a tad too big, but they did stay on for the service 🙂
We got to church with Sofia sleeping in her car seat. The two grandma’s, auntie Roxy and grandpa Gale moved to be closer to us. Then Sofia woke up and she spent the whole time in her 2 grandma’s arms.
The worship team, which mommy and daddy are a part of, sang 2 beautiful songs, one of which they learned especially for this occasion. The choir also sang a beautiful dedication song.
Grandpa Ungur had a special message and then him, together with fratele Mudura came down to pray over baby Sofia.
Sofia was very cool and collected for this special occasion, she even slept through the prayer, in her grandpa’s arms.
